A Reuters analysis showed that the United States recorded a 12% decline in Corona injuries last week, while the pace of vaccinations accelerated to a record number of 2.2 million doses per day.
New infections decreased for the eighth consecutive week, dropping to an average of 60,000 new cases per day in the week ending on the seventh of March.
Covid-19-related deaths also fell by 18 percent last week to 11,800, the lowest number since late November, to an average of 1,686 per day.
And the American Centers reported that 18 percent of Americans had received, as of Sunday, at least one dose of Corona vaccines, and nine percent two doses.
The United States gave an average of 2.2 million doses per day last week, up from 1.6 million the previous week.
A Reuters statistics indicated that the average number of Covid-19 patients in American hospitals decreased 16 percent to 44,000 last week, the lowest number since late October.
A total of 525,000 people died from the virus in the United States, or one in 621 residents.
