The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance closed 8 mosques in 4 regions, after 10 cases of Coronavirus were confirmed among worshipers.
The ministry pointed out that “the total of mosques that were closed within 10 days reached 87, 70 of which were opened after the completion of sterilization and the completion of readiness in the framework of ensuring the health of the worshipers and providing them with the highest safety standards.”
It indicated, “The closed mosques 3 in the Riyadh region in which 4 cases of corona were monitored, two cases were in a mosque in Al-Seih center in Al-Zulfi governorate, and one case was in a mosque in Al-Rayn governorate and another in a mosque in the Irqah district in Riyadh, and 3 cases were in two mosques in the city of Sakaka in the Al-Jouf region, and one One was in a mosque in Al-Wajh governorate, Tabuk region, and two cases were in two mosques in Al-Darb governorate, Jazan region.
The ministry stated that, “8 mosques were opened on Wednesday, after the completion of all precautionary measures of sterilization and maintenance. They are 4 in the Riyadh region, and one mosque each in Medina, Al-Sharqiya, Al-Baha, and Tabuk.”
