The number of deaths from Covid-19 in Mexico rose this Thursday to 304,803, after the Ministry of Health reported 495 new deaths.
While in the last 24 hours, the federal agency registered 49,150 new infections, reaching a cumulative total of 4,828,446 confirmed cases since the pandemic began in the country at the end of February 2020.
In the daily technical report on the progress of the epidemic, 302,473 active cases are estimated, that is, people who have presented symptoms of the virus. coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in the last 14 days.
In the framework of the fourth wave of Covid-19 infections facing Mexico since the beginning of 2022, the entities that have registered the highest rate of active cases per 100,000 inhabitants are:

Regarding hospital capacity to care for patients with Covid-19, the federal authorities detailed that the occupancy of beds with ventilators remains at 28%; while general beds have an occupancy rate of 46%, one percentage point more than what was reported yesterday.
Vaccination against Covid-19 in Mexico
The Ministry of Health reported that as of Wednesday, January 26, 83 million 439,107 people have been vaccinated, of which 76 million 805,979 have a complete schedule of one or two doses depending on the type of biological applied.
Yesterday, the federal government supplied 887,385 vaccines against Covid-19, bringing the total number of doses supplied to 162,890,871 doses.
