The Health Secretary (Ssa) updated this Friday to 4 million 302,069 the number of cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed in Mexico so far in the pandemic. The official death toll rose to 301,107, reported in its daily technical report.
Compared to the previous data, the new ones mean that at the cutoff of the information, 44,293 new infections were registered, a record high according to official figures, and the number of deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 was increased by 195.
There are 269,013 active cases in the country (those who presented symptoms in the most recent 14 days) with an incidence rate of 206.7 per 100,000 inhabitants, but it is estimated that there may be up to 289,422 cases that are still contagious.
The 10 entities with the highest incidence rates in the country are Baja California Sur, Mexico City (which leads the daily infections), San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Colima, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Nayarit, Yucatán and Coahuila, in order .
