More than 8400 Sydneysiders have been urged to be on alert after Covid-19 fragments were found in a wastewater plant in the city’s northwest.
New South Wales Health issued an alert on Monday that fragments after fragments were detected in the catchment network which covers Glenhaven, Dural, Kenthurst, Kellyville and Castle Hill.
‘NSW Health is asking everyone in these areas to be especially vigilant in monitoring for symptoms, and if they appear get tested and isolate immediately until a negative result is received,’ officials said.
