CRE disconnects Iberdrola plant in Guanajuato

The Energy regulatory commission (CRE) confirmed that the Iberian wind plant was disconnected on Tuesday Iberdrola in the Ejido San Pedro Almoloyanthe municipality of San Felipe, Guanajuatosince it fell into the breach of its permit, which was authorized for a project in San Luis Potosí.

The CRE explained that the Spanish company decided to use Guanajuato a permit that was granted for a project in San Luis Potosi.

The permit granted to Iberdrola was for the construction of a wind power plant in Villa de Arriaga y Villa of KingsSan Luis Potosi.

Said self-supply permit was renewed on April 14, 2015, when the general coordination of electricity generation permits granted a permit to Iberdrola Renewables of the Bajío SA de CV

The plant has authorized an installed capacity of 105 megawatts, at most, and according to the permit, it would have an investment of 178.5 million dollars.

The commission warned that there is a restriction in the face of changes in municipalities, and even more so when it comes to modifications of states, for which it was determined that it was not possible to favorably attend to the request for modification.

“In accordance with the current legal framework, it is necessary to grant a new permit as it is a different project from the one originally approved,” the CRE sentenced.

The commission added that the administrative act could be challenged through an indirect amparo trial.
