During an August 23rd appearance on Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday” podcast, sports journalist Joy Taylor launched a series of personal criticisms against fellow media personality Jason Whitlock, escalating a professional disagreement into a public censure.
Taylor’s remarks targeted Whitlock’s health and lifestyle. “Whenever somebody says Jason Whitlock, man, I don’t even think he’s alive anymore,” she began. “I’m not sure that anything works harder than his cholesterol if he’s being honest.”
Dismissing prior comments Whitlock had made about her, Taylor continued with a string of personal jabs, also questioning his faith. “Who loves Jason? Does God love Jason? I do not,” she stated.
Taylor also characterized Whitlock as a recluse who avoids public life. “Where are they gonna see him, a hole? He is not going out,” she claimed. “You are never gonna see him. He’s hiding, which is where he should stay.” She added that she believed he doesn’t even go grocery shopping.
The pointed comments quickly ignited a debate on social media, with users expressing sharply divided opinions on Taylor’s verbal attack.
