The Philadelphia gunman who left five dead has been unmasked as a cross-dressing Black Lives Matter supporter who made chilling Facebook posts about ‘evil spirits.’
Kimbrady Carriker, 40, shot dead four men and a 15-year-old boy in the Kingsessing neighborhood on the eve of the Fourth of July.
He is now in custody and facing multiple murder charges after rampaging through the streets with an AR-15, a handgun and wearing a ballistic vest.
The killer has now been revealed to be a computer nerd who was obsessed by firearms – even posting video a few days ago of children at a gun range.
Facebook posts from March 2022 show Carriker dressed as a woman, wearing a bra, hooped earrings and gold bracelets.Â
He had posted eerie articles to Facebook titled: ‘How do you know if an evil spirit is following you,’ as well as a photo of a map listing historic ‘black massacres’ throughout the US with the caption stating: ‘We kept the receipts.’

Kimbrady Carriker, 40, of Philadelphia, was arrested shortly after a mass shooting in Kingsessing on the eve of Fourth of July that left five men dead and two children woundedÂ
He was also using a police scanner in an attempt to stay a step ahead of the cops but was ultimately backed into an alleyway where he surrendered.
City officials held a press conference earlier Tuesday during which they refused to name the suspect and said they were unable to provide any motive for the attack.
The victims were named as Ralph Moralis, 59; Joseph Wamah, 31; Dymir Stanton, 29; Lashyd Merritt, 20; and Daujan Brown, 15.Â
Before the press conference police sources confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer that Carriker was the 40-year-old suspect arrested last night.Â
Families had been enjoying the festivities in the neighborhood when the gunman wearing a bullet proof vest wielding an AR-style rifle and handgun opened fire on his unsuspecting victims.
A mother and daughter who lived with Carriker on the 5600 block of Belmar Terrace back in 2021 were shocked to find out he was named as a suspect in the massacre.
Tina Rosette, 49, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Carriker was ‘really smart, intelligent, creative,’ and loved working on computer programs.
Rosette added that she while she had never seen Carriker with a gun, she admitted that he had ‘an aggressive approach to some things in life.’
She recalled that Carriker sometimes taught people how to fight in self-defense, but she claimed he did not give them much direction about how or when to stop.
But Rosette’s 24-year-old daughter Cianni said that she had seen Carriker’s handgun and that he was ‘trying to get me comfortable around guns and stuff like that.’

Security camera video viewed later shows the shooter walking down the street calmly while firing at people before responding officers chased the suspect as he continued to fire.
Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said at a news conference overnight that she did not know if the suspect was firing from his rifle or handgun at the time he was chased by cops, but confirmed he was ‘actively shooting’.
The officers then heard multiple gunshots further up the street on Kingsessing Avenue where they found ‘multiple casings’. The cops advanced further down the street before hearing more gunshots in the area of 1800 block of Frazier Street.Â
Officers were then able to apprehend the suspect in the rear alley of 1600 block of Frazier street and found he was armed with the rifle, handgun, multiple magazines and a police scanner. The police did not fire any shots themselves.Â
‘Thank God our officers responded as quickly as they did. I can’t even describe the level of bravery and courage that was shown,’ Outlaw said.
The total number of victims increased overnight and police said a fifth male victim was found four hours after the shooting when a man returned home and found his 31-year-old son dead in the living room with multiple gunshots wounds

Officials had described the scene as covering an area of two by four blocks and said around 50 spent shell casings were found
Outlaw said at a news conference that all of the victims of the mass shooting were male, including the two-year-old and the 13-year-old. A mass shooting is defined by the FBI as an incident in which at least four people are murdered with a gun.
The total number of victims increased overnight and police said a fifth male victim was found four hours after the shooting when a man returned home and found his 31-year-old son dead in the living room with multiple gunshots wounds.Â
‘We believe because of where he was found and where his house is on 56th Street, and the fact that we found ballistic evidence that matches the ballistic evidence we found on the street a few hours earlier, we believe this homicide is related,’ Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.Â
Tim Eads said that Monday night he heard fireworks, then gunshots, and saw police cars ‘flying by.’ His wife was on the second floor ‘looking out the bay window and saw the shooter actually coming down this street here behind me.’Â
Eads saw the other man with a pistol who, he said, may have been firing at the shooter.
‘He was using my car as a shield shooting out into the street,’ Eads said.
A resident named Roger who declined to give his last name said he and his family were eating in the living room at about 8:30 p.m. when they heard eight to 10 gunshots.
‘Everybody thought it was fireworks but … been around here about three years so I heard it enough,’ he said. ‘I looked out the window and seen a bunch of people running.’
He said he heard about four more shots and ‘thought it was the end of it.’Â
An evidence marker is seen as investigations are ongoing the day after a mass shooting
A resident named Roger who declined to give his last name said he and his family were eating in the living room at about 8:30 p.m. when they heard eight to 10 gunshots
Ten minutes later, he said, police came ‘flying down here,’ and about five minutes later he heard rapid gunfire open up right outside the house.
The Philadelphia violence is the country’s 29th mass killing in 2023, the highest on record by this time in the year. And the Kingsessing neighborhood is becoming more and more dangerous, locals say.
The numbers people killed in such events is also the highest by this time in the year.
There have been more than 550 mass killings since 2006, according to the database, in which at least 2,900 people have died and at least 2,000 people have been hurt.
