Cryptocurrency Use Cases Drive Adoption

The firm highlighted that efforts are being made in the region for this, and that they have encouraged the growth of the platform, the actions are aimed at making cryptocurrencies useful.

Among its projects, the firm indicated that through its payment products it seeks to be the gateway for people to digitize their finances, in this sense it highlighted the launch of its Tarjeta Bitso Card in Mexico. Likewise, he indicated that the launch of QR payments in Argentina facilitated payment with cryptocurrencies in that country.

In 2021, Mexico ranked 44th in terms of cryptocurrency adoption, today it is in 28th place, advancing 16 places in one year, according to data from Chainalysys.

According to Bitso, one of the aspects that has positively impacted the adoption of cryptocurrencies in Mexico is the increase in the use cases of this technology and the utility that people have found in their daily lives beyond speculation.

For this reason, the platform stressed that it is committed to continuing to add cryptocurrencies with innovative and solid projects, in addition to the 50 that are within the exchange.

In this sense, he indicated that he recently added Atom, a cryptocurrency from the Cosmos network, designed to achieve interoperability between blockchain projects; he also added Avax, a cryptocurrency from the Avalanche network, a blockchain launched with the promise of greater efficiency in terms of speed, sustainability and low cost.

As for stablecoins, those that are backed by a fiat currency, they were also added to the Pax Gold platform, with parity with an ounce of gold and Euro Coin, a cryptocurrency backed by the value of the Euro.

The platform added that it is strengthening its commitment to stablecoins, which is why it launched the project of the new Tether USDT books against local currencies this year.
