Queretaro, Qro. The state government of Queretaro registered a second cut in the federal participations of the current year, accumulating a decrease of about 1,200 million pesos during 2022, explained the governor Maurice Kuri Gonzalez.
According to the head of the Executive Power of the state, in August the first cut of approximately 1,000 million pesos was presented, to which 200 million were added that were notified this week.
These reductions, he explained, complicate public spending, because it is a resource that had already been contemplated to exercise.
“We are very pressured with the accounts, (…) they told me that Querétaro was reduced in shares, which we had already contemplated, (…) and that puts much more pressure on us for the end of the year and for next year,” he declared.
These declines have begun to put pressure on state spending, with a view to the end of the year and the design of the Economic package for fiscal year 2023.
