The Cypriot Ministry of Health announced the imposition of a two-week quarantine on all those coming from Britain, starting on Monday, after the announcement of a new strain of Corona in Britain.
The ministry wrote in a statement: “After discovering a new strain of Corona virus, and for the sake of public health, arrivals to Larnaca and Paphos airports from Britain must be subjected to self-isolation for 14 days, or 10 days, provided that they pass the medical examination with a negative result.”
She added: “During the period of self-isolation, and in the event that symptoms of infection with Corona virus appear, you must consult a doctor for medical help.”
And British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Saturday that the new virus strain had led to a sharp rise in the number of infected people in Britain.
The British government tightened the restrictions “Covid-19” in London and the surrounding areas and adjusted plans for the Christmas and New Year holidays for millions of people.
