The International Handball Federation “IHF” announced in an official statement today, Tuesday, that the Czech team has withdrawn from the 27th edition of the World Cup for the game, which Egypt is hosting from January 13 to 31.
In its statement, the International Federation said that the Czech Federation withdrew from the World Cup after several cases of Corona virus appeared among the team’s players.
And the International Federation announced that the North Macedonia team was called up to participate in the place of the Czech Republic, according to the European Nations Cup arrangement.

Khaled Fathy, deputy director of the World Handball Championship, confirmed to reporters that the Czech withdrawal came due to the presence of positive cases of Corona virus, which exceeded 15 cases.
He added that the North Macedonian team would replace its Czech counterpart in Group G, along with Egypt, Sweden and Chile.
