Many of the German states most affected by the Corona epidemic have called on the federal government to extend public quarantine restrictions to limit the spread of the virus.
The newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”, said that the strict restrictions imposed in Germany will remain in effect until January 10.
Some regions are proposing an extension until January 31, and some have called for an extension of the ban for a shorter period, but while continuing to monitor the situation.
According to the newspaper, the federal government is leaning towards the option of continuing restrictions until January 31.
Since December 16, German authorities have imposed the strictest quarantine in the country’s history.
