Signing that must have been brewing under the radar and that has caught almost everyone by surprise. But the truth is that DeMarcus Cousins, after closing the previous year with the Clippers’ jacket, was without a team. And although he is still light years from what he was before his two serious injuries, that All-Star center who was able to overwhelm on the inside and also on the outside showed signs of some physical recovery last year. And the talent is not lost.
In these, the Milwaukee Bucks, who have not started the season at the rate at which they finished the previous one, and are currently fifth in the East (12-8) and are accusing the loss of Brook López, have decided to bet on Cousins, a player from a similar profile, since although he is not a good perimeter defender, he is capable of scoring both on the inside and from 7.25, as well as being a solid rebounder.
Free agent center DeMarcus Cousins plans to sign a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, source tells ESPN.

According ESPN, the contract is for one year and is not fully guaranteed. The four-time All Star, at 31 years old, comes from leaving numbers between Houston and Clippers (their two teams from 2020/21) of 8.9 points and 6.4 rebounds in 17.4 minutes of play, with a 34, 8% from the triple, figures he maintained in the seven playoff games he played before falling 4-2 to the Phoenix Suns in the Conference Finals.
