VILLANOVA, PA. – The DePaul men’s basketball team kicks off a two-game road swing, Saturday morning as they take on Villanova at a 11 a.m. CT from Finneran Pavillion. The game will tip off on FS1 with John Fanta and Wesley Matthews on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have DePaul’s radio broadcast.

DePaul is fresh off its first top-25 opponent of the season in two-time defending national champions, No. 11 UConn. Despite facing a first half deficit, DePaul outscored the Huskies in the second period and erased a 20-point advantage for UConn to just single-digits. Conor Enright led DePaul with 18 points and nine assists, while NJ Benson had his second-straight double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

DePaul (9-5, 0-3 BIG EAST) has used five different starting lineups this season, including the most recent that saw Benson and CJ Gunn move into the first five. Gunn’s first career start came against Loyola Md. where the junior scored 11 points with four rebounds. Benson and Gunn are two of seven scorers DePaul has averaging over seven points per game this season.
Despite DePaul ranking among the nation’s best three-point shooting teams, the Blue Demons have scored 86 of its 152 points in the last two games inside the paint.

Dixon also ranks fourth nationally in three-point percentage, shooting 50 percent from deep and averaging 3.38 made threes per game. The Wildcats average 10.4 three-pointers per game as a team, second in the BIG EAST only to DePaul.
