Deputies approve, in general, the Federal Law of Rights

The plenary of the Chamber of Deputies approved this Thursday, in general, the opinion with draft decree of the Federal Law of Rights for 2023 sent by the Executive.

With 268 votes in favor, 214 against and one abstention, the legislators approved the opinion and proceeded to the discussion in particular of 85 reservations, with the participation of 54 speakers.

Among the highlights of the document endorsed in general, it is established that, upon receipt, study of the application and authorization of visas by family unit or offer of employment that are processed before the Migration’s national institute (INM) the right will be paid according to the quota of 219.07 pesos.

While for ordinary visas in foreign passports 812.08 pesos. For the visitor without permission to carry out long-term paid activities, 531.09 pesos, and for visas that are requested through electronic means, the cost will be 174.62 pesos.

The Chamber of Deputies He detailed in a statement that the opinion also specifies that foreigners who apply for a visitor visa without permission to carry out paid activities will not pay the fee, when they are considered victims or prove to be relatives of foreigners who have disappeared in national territory, or for humanitarian reasons.

Regarding the rights for the provision of notarial services in the Mexican consular offices, 992.55 pesos will be paid for the authorizations granted by the persons who exercise parental authority or guardianship over minors or incapacitated persons.
