Lebanon- You are not late Al-Quds Brigades The military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement participated in the operation “Al-Aqsa flood” Beside Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades The military wing of the movement agitation And the rest of the Palestinian resistance factions, whether in Gaza or on the southern Lebanon front, which opened its doors for the first time to Palestinian resistance action in coordination with… Hizb allah.
The “brigades” made many sacrifices while confronting the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and 4 were martyred in southern Lebanon in two operations that included “infiltration behind enemy lines” on the northern front.
And in A special interview with Al Jazeera Net Dr. Muhammad al-Hindi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, stressed that Israel “will be forced to carry out a prisoner exchange, no matter how long the days of aggression last.”
Al-Hindi spoke about the “expected victory despite the Palestinian pain,” and the new political and military equation imposed by the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, in addition to a comprehensive assessment of the Al-Quds Brigades’ preparations at the military and field levels, and the official and popular Arab and international interaction with the aggression on Gaza.
Considering the “Al-Aqsa Flood” the largest resistance operation against Israel that imposed a new political and military equation, what is the Islamic Jihad Movement’s point of view regarding this operation and the message it conveyed last October 7?
The achievement of the resistance on October 7 and the collapse of the elite units of the Zionist army in front of the mujahideen had a stun effect on the enemy and its supporters in the West and the region. Despite the great pain of the revenge operations against the civilians of the people of Gaza, this revenge showed images unprecedented since World War II.
Despite this, this operation has a long-term strategic impact, especially if the enemy fails to deport the people of Gaza, and he will fail, God willing.
This process brought the Palestinian issue back to the top of the world’s priorities after it had been almost forgotten and after the West Bank, Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa were left under the grip of the Zionist enemy to liquidate what remained of Palestine.
In the West Bank, approximately two years ago, Israel launched Operation “Break the Waves” to devour the remaining lands, and in Jerusalem, the city’s homes were seized and Al-Aqsa was divided temporally under an extremist right-wing fascist government.
The October 7 attack came to confirm that there is no peace or security in the region without the Palestinian people taking full rights. Neither the power of Israel nor the peace and normalization agreements with Arab regimes nor any Western complicity can achieve security and stability in the Middle East.
What are your conditions at the negotiating table in your Israeli prisoner exchange process?
The prisoner exchange process does not concern the Islamic Jihad movement or Hamas alone, but rather it is a process that concerns the entire Palestinian people, as more than 6,000 Palestinian prisoners remain in enemy prisons, who are the leaders and fighters of this people.
Israel is trying to evade this process, even by liquidating all its prisoners in the Gaza Strip according to the “Hannibal” law, which stipulates that a dead soldier is better than a captured soldier, but in the end, in the face of this large number of prisoners and in front of Israeli public opinion, which interacts strongly with the families of the Zionist prisoners She will find herself, regardless of the massacres she committed, forced into an exchange process that will bring joy to every Palestinian home.
But now, while we are still in the middle of the battle, the talk is not about a prisoner exchange deal, but rather about repeated truces in which some civilians are released, especially those with foreign nationalities, in exchange for the release of some male and female child prisoners and the sick from enemy prisons, and the entry of fuel and medical aid.

How do you evaluate the situation of the Islamic Jihad movement from both a military and field perspective, especially with the escalation of tension and the occupation continuing to commit massacres under the name of eliminating resistance in Gaza?
Militarily, the “Jerusalem Brigades” are fine, and on the ground they continue to confront the enemy forces invading Gaza with mortar shells and other rockets. They also continue to fire rockets into the Zionist depth and in the cover cities. The brigades enjoy high morale and are prepared to continue fighting for a long time.
The enemy only succeeded in bombing civilians in their homes, mosques, churches, and hospitals, and this is the only success that Israel can talk about. On the other hand, it is a new defeat for this enemy, which is not good at confrontation in the field, so it bombs and takes revenge on civilians in their homes.
The Islamic Jihad movement carried out operations across Lebanon’s southern front. What message did you want to convey?
The message from carrying out operations from the Lebanon arena is to emphasize that we are one people, one cause, and we face one enemy, and it does not target Palestine only, but rather the entire nation.
The Palestinians in the diaspora constitute more than half of the Palestinian people, and the residents of the camps in Lebanon are eager to participate in liberating their homeland and returning to it, and the “Saraya” in Lebanon are part of the population of the refugee camps.
What are the expectations regarding the results of Turkey and Iran’s cooperation and coordination in their call for a regional conference aimed at preventing the escalation of the war?
Coordination between Islamic countries – especially those with weight and presence such as Iran and Turkey – is important and must be taken into account, especially since they have means of pressure that can be activated.
But so far it is clear that Israel is prepared to continue its crimes, and does not give consideration to anyone except the American administration, which participates in this aggression in various forms.
How does “Islamic Jihad” evaluate the Arab and international interaction with the Israeli aggression against Gaza, both officially and popularly?
The interaction of the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world has not ceased since the first day of the enemy’s aggression and crimes against civilians. World capitals such as London, Paris and Washington witnessed the largest marches chanting for the freedom of Palestine, but popular pressure on the American administration is the most important in the election year that is just beginning.
On the official level, Western governments are defending their arm in the region and their project to dominate the region, in which they have invested hundreds of billions of dollars and great efforts for many years in order to plant Israel in the heart of our nation.
As for the Arab regime – which failed in the Cairo meeting to bring a single drop of water into Gaza – it has no value or weight, neither for Israel nor for the Americans.
