Chicago Bulls player Derrick Jones Jr. will miss between four and six weeks due to a bruise on his right knee, as reported by the journalist from The Athletic Shams Charania.
The power forward was injured in the first minute of the game that pitted the Bulls against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Jones Jr. had to be helped off the court and would not return to the game.
The one from Chester had been part of the starting five in his last six appearances with the team. His averages in the Bulls rise to 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds after coming to the franchise during the offseason from Portland.
Still, rumors that have spread in recent weeks suggest that Jones Jr. could be traded before the market closes on February 10.
