The president of the National Executive Committee of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, said that “here I am, firm”, after Morena in the Chamber of Deputies announced that the impeachment process against him would be reactivated.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he added in the context of the announcement, which he considered pressure for his party to approve the electoral reform.

In a video broadcast through his social networks, the national leader of the tricolor once again confirmed that “the PRI’s position is clear and forceful: we will vote against the electoral reform.”

For his part, the coordinator of PRI deputies, Rubén Moreira, expressed that the proposal for changes to the Constitution in electoral matters is not pertinent or timely, in addition to not contemplating affirmative and gender actions.

Also reiterating that the bench will vote against an electoral reform opinion, Moreira called it “centralist” and of not fighting the intervention of drug trafficking in the elections.

“The PRI is going to vote against it, but it will be with reasons. Not like some parties that are going to do it to get the applause, ”she said in a meeting with members of the National Organization of Priista Women (ONPRI) of Morelia.

In turn, the national leader of the National Action Party (PAN), Marko Cortés Mendoza, warned that it is illegal and dangerous that through a legal reform the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador intends to remove the electoral roll from the National Electoral Institute (INE). to deliver it to the Ministry of the Interior (Segob).

He stressed that the PAN remains firm in defending the National Electoral Institute, democracy, freedom, the right to vote and citizen interests.

“That is why we point out that it is enormously risky, illegal and unconstitutional for López Obrador to try to take control of the electoral roll through the Ministry of the Interior.

“This only shows that he wants to manipulate the elections to become the power behind the throne, and that he has the same dream as (Luis) Echeverría and (Carlos) Salinas,” he said.

Marko Cortés considered that President López Obrador wants to restore “the perfect dictatorship” that was lived with the PRI governments.
