Despite the yellow traffic light, CDMX will not close activities

Although this Friday Health Secretary federal reported that the Mexico City will be in the yellow color of the epidemiological traffic light for the next two weeks, capital authorities ruled out the closure of economic activities.

Through an information sheet, the local government indicated that all transfers will continue to operate because it seeks to avoid any economic impact.

“In a responsible effort to continue with the economic recovery of the city, economic activities will not be closed, so the population is asked to maintain sanitary measures,” he said.

Instead, the capital authorities stated that the population should reinforce the correct use of face masks, wash their hands frequently with soap and water or use antibacterial gel, as well as ventilate spaces.

“In case of mild symptoms of Covid-19, stay at home in isolation to avoid infecting other people. The capital government reminds people that it is essential to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to have protection against the disease, ”they deepened.

It should be noted that this announcement is in accordance with what was said this Friday morning by the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, where she assured that regardless of the color of the traffic light, the strategy is to keep the economy open and increase the vaccination rate.
