The training camp the Suns will start with a notable absence. Devin Booker will not be able to be present because he is under the restrictions established by the league’s sanitary protocol, as reported by Shams Charania, from The Athletic. The guard will therefore miss the first days of preseason, although it should not take too long to be available and exercise normally.
Specifically, the preseason officially kicks off tomorrow, September 28, and the Suns will have their first friendly match on October 4, the day they will face the Sacramento Kings. It’s unclear if Booker will be available by then, but it’s not a big game in any case and Arizonans can afford to be without him for a while.
Booker comes from signing 25.6 points per game in the regular season, an average that increased to 27.3 in a playoffs in which he led his team to his first Finals in 28 years. We will see if this season can repeat or even improve this feat to definitely become the history of the franchise.
