Diego Sinhue inaugurates the second Standard Profil plant in Guanajuato

When inaugurating the second plant of the company Standard Profil, the state governor, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, said that Guanajuato is confirmed as “the best investment pole in Mexico.”

“We have 105 projects in terms of attracting investments, which we have achieved in the four years of this state administration, which represent an investment of 4,549 million dollars, and we are going to continue seeking to attract new investments, because they mean opportunities for Guanajuato residents,” highlighted the state president.

He explained that Guanajuato is consolidated as an ideal destination for attracting investment, thanks to the trust of leading global companies such as Standard Profil, with the opening of its second plant in the Amistad Industrial Park.

“I want to thank in a very special way, this trust in our state, the CEO of the company Klaus Elmer, as well as all the directors of this second plant; and of course to the workers who make this corporation great”, he expressed.

He specified that this is a very important event for the company, and also for Guanajuato because it confirms that the value of the Guanajuato brand continues to be highly valued in international markets.

“We are very pleased that this global company has built a great success story in our state. A company that arrived in our territory in 2014, being Standard Profil’s first investment in North America. That it has become a leading supplier of the most dynamic automotive cluster in Latin America that is in our land”, he said.

Rodríguez Vallejo commented that it is one of the most important companies in the world in the production of sealing agents for the automotive industry.

It has a history of more than 35 years in the market, with 12 plants on several continents and more than 8,000 employees globally, he added.

The governor stressed that this company has a solid and well-earned prestige, as evidenced by its diversified client portfolio; among which are Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Citroen, Ford, General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Volvo, Toyota, Volkswagen, Tesla, Hyundai, among others.

Standard Profil will continue to reap more industrial successes now with this second plant that we are inaugurating today, and that has a total investment of 10 million euros, said the state president.

He added that with this new plant, 950 jobs will be preserved and 200 more jobs will be generated, for a total of 1,150 jobs.

“And for us this is very important, because jobs mean the opportunity to improve and get ahead for Guanajuato families,” he said.

Rodríguez Vallejo reiterated in thanking the directors for betting on Guanajuato, and Apaseo el Grande, a municipality with great growth potential and that is already an example of development in the Laja Bajío-Querétaro region.

The CEO of Standard Profil, Klaus Elmer, thanked the support of the state government to consolidate this new plant, which in addition to generating jobs also contributes to strengthening the economic and social development of Guanajuato.

This is a company known as the second largest supplier of sealing agents for the automotive industry in Europe. The company was founded in 1977.

It has its corporate offices in Frankurt (Eschborn), Germany. It is a global company with more than 35 years in the market, with 12 plants on several continents and approximately more than 8,000 employees.

With this new investment and sales forecasts, they estimate that by 2024 they will be the number one company worldwide in sealing agents for the automotive industry.

This event was attended by the mayor of Apaseo El Grande, José Luis Oliveros Usabiaga; and the secretary of Sustainable Economic Development, Ramón Alfaro Gómez; They were also the mayor of Apaseo El Alto, Guadalupe Montserrat Mendoza Cano; the mayor of Salvatierra, German Cervantes Vega; and the federal deputy, Esther Mandujano Tinajero.
