DIY-loving couple transform their outdated bathroom into an industrial chic space for £2,000 by doing all the fitting themselves

A DIY enthusiast has revealed how she and her husband completely transformed their outdated bathroom.
Sharing pictures on the DIY on A Budget UK Facebook group, Leanne Randall, from Huddersfield, explained that the renovations cost £2,000, and that all the fitting was done by her husband, cutting down on extra labour costs.
The before pictures showed a plain, off-white bathroom with a traditional bathtub and tile work, which has been transformed into a modern space with dark blue walls and wooden accents that give it an air of industrial chic.
People praised Leanne and her husband for their hard work, saying the bathroom was ‘outstanding,’ and oozed personality.

Leanne explained the couple cut costs by having her husband do all the work.
She added they created the sleek wooden sink unit in the new bathroom by themselves.
Leanne also explained that they bought the modern-looking freestanding back-to-wall bath ahead of the renovations.
When asked about the overall cost of the endeavour, she explained the bathroom set the couple back £2,000 in total.

The couple achieved their transformation by covering the wooden floor in black and white tiles, and painting the walls dark blue.
On the opposite side of the bathroom, the couple installed the sink unit they built themselves.
They panelled the wall by the sink with wood to add to the industrial feel of the room.
People were deeply impressed with the couple’s bathroom project, with some saying it was full of personality and others begging for Leanne’s husband to do their own bathroom next
They accessorised with a few well-picked items such as a round mirror and some greenery for finishing touches.
The result blew other DIY-enthusiasts away, with many complimenting Leanne and her husband for their their sleek bathroom.
