- Coverage of services and maintenance. The payment of maintenance services is made in the event of non-payment by the tenant, this with a limitation of up to 5,000 pesos per month.
- Support in case of eviction. If the owner has to incur the eviction of the tenant, the owner is supported with coverage of up to 50,000 pesos or three months’ rent, whichever is less.
In Mexico, there are 5.8 million houses for rent, of which 54% of them have a current contract, according to the National Housing Survey. According to Lozano, this is important, because Nowo’s functionalities are only valid in lease relationships that have a contract as established by law.
Lozano explained that, over the course of a year, the platform has been strengthened and has made at least 13 important changes to its functionality to guarantee a good service. Now, with an investment of nearly 1,200 million pesos, he plans to strengthen his model not only in Mexico, but also in Spain.
