Getting money for spending doesn’t always happen. In the Afores you can obtain money for voluntary savings for purchases you make from the Afore Móvil app or the Afore Web portal.

Through the GanAhorro rewards program, workers who purchase services or products available from this platform, which is linked to Afore Móvil and Afore Web, will be able to receive bonuses for their purchases, ranging from one peso to 80 or 115 pesos, depending on the product and company.

From tickets to go to the movies, the purchase of the popcorn and soft drink combo, air time in various telephone companies, donuts, clothing gift cards, private transportation, streaming platforms, video games, even coffee at Starbucks.

According to the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (Consar), Afore Móvil users will have access to GanAhorro, the exclusive benefit that will allow them to earn money transformed into voluntary savings just by buying their favorite products through this app.

Since the launch of this bonus scheme, at the end of 2019, more than 21,700 workers have made purchases through the app and have benefited.

It is estimated that in total more than 237,000 transactions have been processed, that is, purchases to obtain the corresponding refunds. For example, if you pay two movie tickets through the app, you receive 36 pesos for free in your account.

If you recharge 100 pesos to a Telcel company number, the refund will be 5 pesos and for a 100-peso cinema combo that includes popcorn and a large soda, the bonus is 15 pesos.

“The GanAhorro rewards program, available both in the Afore Móvil application and on the AforeWeb website, has channeled more than 1.5 million pesos in the form of voluntary savings,” Consar reported recently.

The regulatory body of the Afores, detailed that the benefit granted represented an average of 4.8% for each purchase.

In turn, he explained that of the total GanAhorro users, 73% are men and 27% women; 60% of users are between 26 and 36 years old, “all of them familiar with online shopping and with tangible benefits for their retirement.”

How to get bonuses

To obtain the bonus you must have a username and password in Afore Móvil or Afore Web. When entering these platforms, you must look for the option of saving with benefits, select the GanAhorro option and when you click, you will be sent to the platform where the companies that participate with their products and services in this benefit program appear. It is estimated that 60 brands currently participate.

Once there, you must click on the product or service you want and then choose the option to buy; They will ask you to add the details of the bank account from which you will pay for your purchase, the following process depends on the product you have purchased, for example, if they are airtime recharges, they are reflected at the moment.

But if the purchase is a combo of popcorn and soft drinks for the cinema, when you pay you will be given some sheets of paper that you must change directly in the candy area of ​​the cinema; in these cases you have up to 30 days to use the folios.

In other purchases, you are issued an electronic certificate that must be delivered to the establishment at the time of physically redeeming your purchase or an electronic coupon in the case of online purchases.

If you want to make voluntary savings in your Afore you can do it from some convenience stores such as 7Eleven, Circulo K, Farmacias del Ahorro from 50 pesos.
