The barking of dogs helped save two people from death inundated with snow following an avalanche in southwestern Switzerland, according to the country’s Riga Air Ambulance Service.
According to “Riga”, the avalanche removed the two victims from a hiking path in the Aver Valley in southwestern Switzerland near the border with Italy, after 3 pm on Saturday.
Their dogs, which had not been buried by snow, attracted the attention of a group of people who were at a distance in the valley itself.
She added that the group was between 15 and 20 minutes away, and the hands of one of the victims were visible on the surface, while the second was buried in snow.
