Sports presenter Diletta Leotta is set to join the cast of the popular Italian series Don Matteo for its upcoming season, scheduled to air on Rai 1 this winter. Leotta will portray the niece of Sister Costanza, a well-known character from the show Che Dio ci aiuti, creating a crossover between the two series.
Leotta recently filmed her scenes and received high praise from her co-star Valeria Fabrizi, who plays Sister Costanza. In an interview with DiPiù magazine, Fabrizi complimented Leotta’s work ethic and demeanor on set. “Diletta plays my niece, and I must say the girl is quite talented,” Fabrizi stated. “She is sunny, attentive, always polite, and helpful. Sometimes when very popular personalities arrive on set, they want to act like divas, but Diletta is a simple girl.”
