Utah Jazz player Donovan Mitchell and Philadelphia 76ers player Joel Embiid have been awarded the December Player of the Month award from their respective conferences, as as announced by the NBA itself.
The Jazz guard has received the award for the first time in his career, leading his team to a 12-2 record with averages of 30.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Their numbers have risen to 29.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 34.5 minutes. The Cameroonian adds, with this, three distinctions of this type.
