Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell will miss at least Wednesday’s game against the Houston Rockets due to a concussion, the organization itself announced.
However, these types of ailments usually keep a player in the dry dock for several days, as established by NBA protocol. His teammate Hassan Whiteside suffered a similar concussion on New Year’s Eve, forcing him to sit out the next three games.
Mitchell received a blow to the head in the last minute of the first half of the game that the Jazz played this Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite being able to finish the match, he began to feel symptoms after it.
The player has already missed four games this season, in which the Jazz are 3-1. Throughout this season, Mitchell is averaging 25.5 points and 5.2 assists per game.
