Russian forces announced in SyriaLate yesterday evening, Sunday, it launched air strikes on Syrian opposition positions in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, killing 34 fighters from the opposition factions and wounding 60 others, according to the Russian Interfax agency.
The agency quoted Admiral Vadim Collet, deputy head of the Russian Reconciliation Center, as saying – commenting on the attack that took place on Saturday on Syrian regime positions – that the Russian Air Force carried out air strikes in Idlib Governorate on targets of armed groups involved in bombing positions of Syrian regime forces.
Collet said that within 24 hours, the positions of the Syrian regime forces were attacked 7 times.
