Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi considered that recent comments issued by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) regarding the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, are encouraging.
A statement issued by Raghi’s office indicated that “the prime minister spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron, and they expressed their readiness to start the vaccination with AstraZeneca quickly, as soon as the agency gives the green light next Thursday.”
The statement added: “The initial announcement from the European Medicines Agency today was positive.”
Italy and many European Union countries have stopped using the vaccine, after a number of people who underwent it suffered from blood clotting problems and strokes.
