(CNN) — The actor and singer Drake Bell offered his first comments after being located “safe” by the police, through a tweet published this Thursday night, in which he made reference to having previously been considered “disappeared and in danger”.
“You leave your phone in the car and you don’t answer during the night, and this?” he tweeted.

The Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) updated a post requesting information to help them locate actor Drake Bell, with the news that the actor has been located and is “safe.”
“At this time, we can confirm that law enforcement officials are in contact and that Mr. Bell is safe,” the updated post read.
Earlier, the DBPD had indicated in a publication that the actor was “missing and in danger.”
The DBPD’s Facebook post stated that Bell was last seen in a gray 2022 BMW near Mainland High School on Wednesday night.
“He is considered missing and endangered,” the DBPD said. And he encouraged anyone with information to contact the DBPD.
The star’s legal name is Jared Drake Bell.
CNN has contacted representatives of the Police Department and Bell for more information.
The 36-year-old actor’s social media accounts have not been updated since April 3, when his verified Twitter account had a post from his interview with YouTuber Roberto Mtz.
On Instagram, his most recent posts include a video of his young son, shared by Drake’s wife, Janet Von Schmeling, dated March 6.
Bell starred on Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” and “Drake & Josh” in the early 2000s.
In July 2021, Bell was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to sending sexually explicit texts to a 15-year-old girl, according to previous CNN reports.
