Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has hit the headlines once more after admitting he struggles to find motivation against the NBA’s weakest teams, labelling them ‘sorry mother*******’.Â
The expletive-laden rant comes soon after reports that he is facing an internal disciplinary procedure for a practice altercation with his teammate Jordan Poole.
Green’s latest controversy was aired on the next episode of HBO’s The Shop, airing in full on October 7, where he explained how challenging it can be to get in the right mindset for games against the NBA’s bottom-feeders.

LeBron James and Maverick Carter could not help but laugh at Green’s commentary
‘There’s not a night that I show up and I don’t wanna be a dog,’ Green said in an excerpt posted on Twitter. ‘Especially, if it’s LeBron’s coming in, if it’s a Giannis coming in ’cause them the games I live for.Â
‘It’s the nights we show up and we playing against the sorry mother*******. I can’t play!’Â
Maverick Carter then interjects, saying ‘the Sacramento Kings? Who the Kings?’
‘The Kings stink!’ Green replied ‘You name ’em — OKC right now. The Kings may get better this year, I hope.Â
‘But you know, it’s like how am I supposed to get myself up, with like, with this engine… to f**** on this soft Tuesday, to f****** [play].’
Given the lengthy 82-game season, and the Warriors’ often lofty position, it is fathomable to believe Green feels less than excited for games on occasion.Â
Green is potentially facing internal discipline after an altercation with teammate Jordan Poole
While the four-time champion may struggle to be adequately enthused against the likes of Sacramento, he was more than energized at Warriors practice on Wednesday, per reports.
Green is facing potential internal discipline after a physical altercation with teammate Jordan Poole, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Warriors reportedly paused practice following the altercation and tried to calm the tension back in the locker room.
Green and Poole are said to have approached each other and were face-to-face, pushing and shoving each other. The former Michigan State man is said to have escalated the matter — striking Poole — leading staff and players to intervene and separate the pair. Â
Green recently traveled with the team to Japan where they took part in the NBA’s Japan Games
