Draymond’s absence will last at least two more weeks. As reported by the Golden State Warriors, the recent review to which the player has undergone has revealed that his discomfort in his left leg is linked to a problem in one of his lumbar discs, which will require more recovery time. In the next few days, the player will continue to receive physical therapy, and once the aforementioned two weeks have elapsed, he will undergo new evaluations to see how his situation has evolved.
Green has effectively missed the last six games because, although he technically played a week ago against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he did so only for the first seven seconds to be around for Klay Thompson’s return. These six games have resulted in four defeats, a bump that has made the Warriors lose the first position in the standings and that has made, in case there was any doubt, the importance of Draymond in the squad evident. Despite his discreet numbers, his intelligence when it comes to understanding the game make him the perfect glue for the team, which will undoubtedly celebrate his return when it comes.
“For now the most important thing is to be cautious and act safely,” said Steve Kerr when asked about the power forward. “The season is very long. In my opinion, we have to work cautiously and we’ll see where things go from there.”
