This is the shocking moment a driver blacks out at the wheel on a busy Blue Mountains highway, crashing headfirst into an unsuspecting ute.
The cars were travelling in opposite directions along the Great Western Highway at Faulconbridge early Wednesday morning.
Footage uploaded to Dash Cam Owners Australia shows a ute travelling west up the mountain in wet and misty conditions about 6am.

The ute is seen sitting in the left lane as it passes cars driving down the mountain.
As the driver turns around a bend, a car driving in the opposite direction veers onto the wrong side of the road and ploughs into the ute.
The car slams into the side of the road, causing it to spin out-of-control before coming to a complete stop.
‘Other driver got taken to hospital this morning when it happened on the Great Western Highway, apparently he blanked out at the wheel even admitted it to the police,’ the caption of the video read.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted NSW Police for comment.
The video has been viewed on Facebook thousands of times with more than 200 comments.
Many social media users took to the comments in disbelief at the oncoming driver falling asleep at the wheel.

‘Just goes to show you can drive as safely as you can and something may still happen to you,’ one user wrote.
‘Being on the roads is always a risk.’
‘Lucky it was only a sideswipe. A head on could’ve been fatal at those speeds!’ another man said.
‘I saw the cars after it happened. Looked nasty. Glad everyone is okay,’ one woman commented.
One user said she lived near where the crash occurred and the car was still sitting in the bush on the side of the road with tape around it.
‘Car is still sitting there in the bushes,’ one woman said.
