Popular content creator Duke Dennis was arrested in San Antonio over the weekend on charges of criminal trespassing and evading arrest at a local shopping mall.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the incident occurred after the mall had closed for the night. Dennis and another individual were reportedly playing hide-and-seek inside the building and had ignored multiple warnings from security personnel to leave the premises. Authorities stated that Dennis attempted to flee when police arrived. He and a second man, who allegedly interfered with the arrest, were both taken into custody.
Fellow streamer Kai Cenat was also present during the arrest. Videos posted to social media show Dennis sitting handcuffed on the mall floor while Cenat filmed the scene from an upper level.
County jail records show that Dennis, 31, was arrested on Saturday, August 2. He was released late in the evening on August 3 after posting a $1,000 cash bond for each charge.
Dennis and Cenat are both members of the popular content creation group AMP, an acronym for Any Means Possible. The collective, which also includes ImDavisss, Chrisnxtdoor, Fanum, and Agent 00, pools the members’ large individual audiences on platforms like YouTube and Twitch for collaborative gaming streams and viral challenges.
Neither Dennis nor Cenat has issued an official statement on the matter. Following his release on Sunday, Dennis posted an Instagram story that read, “Officially on vacation, need suggestions on where to go… See y’all later.” The arrest followed a major streaming event for AMP, during which the group broadcast live for 12 hours a day for the entire month of July from a mansion in Texas.
