Nablus- The Israeli occupation forces killed the young man, Bakir Hashash, 21, from Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, during their storming of the camp in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Eyewitnesses from inside Balata camp told Al Jazeera Net that violent confrontations took place between the camp’s youth and the occupation army, which stormed the camp to arrest citizens, as the soldiers fired directly at the Palestinian youths who threw stones at them.
Witnesses explained that the young Hashash was martyred after being hit by live bullets in the head, as his injury was described as serious and led to his loss of life after a short time, to announce his death from inside Rafidia Governmental Hospital.
Mass rallies were launched inside the camp after the martyrdom of the young Hashash was announced, and the demonstrators chanted in support of the martyr, and the sounds of takbeer rose throughout the camp, while the camp’s activities and national and Islamic forces called for a commercial strike in the camp and to participate in the martyr’s funeral this afternoon.
According to information that Al Jazeera Net could not verify, armed young men opened fire towards the occupation army during its withdrawal from the camp after the martyrdom of the young Hashash.
