“Today” show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer has shared photos from a family vacation with her husband, Brian Fichera, and their three sons, just weeks after announcing the couple’s separation.
On July 29, the third-hour co-host posted a series of pictures on Instagram from a trip to Turks and Caicos. In a hopeful caption, Dreyer quoted her 2021 children’s book, “Misty the Cloud: A Very Stormy Day,” writing, “Find joy in things around you, take a deep breath, count to 10. You’ll soon find you’re living under sunny skies again.” Her colleague Al Roker commented “Wow!!!” on the post.
The post marks the first time she has shared photos of the couple together since announcing their split on July 18. Dreyer, 43, revealed the news on Instagram, writing that she and Fichera, 38, had made the decision to separate a few months prior.
“We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends,” Dreyer wrote. “Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect.”
Dreyer and Fichera married in 2012 and are parents to three sons: Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty. Dreyer, who has not publicly addressed the separation on the NBC morning show, has been absent from “Today” this week while on vacation.
Dreyer’s personal news comes during a challenging year for the cast of “Today’s” third hour. In May, co-host Sheinelle Jones’ husband, Uche Ojeh, 45, died after a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. On May 23, anchor Savannah Guthrie shared the news on-air, stating, “With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh, the husband of our friend and ‘Today’ co-host Sheinelle Jones, has passed away after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma.” Jones has been off the air for the remainder of the year.
