The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced, on Monday evening, that it had recorded 1,359 infections and 61 new deaths with Corona virus infection, which represents a new rise for both indicators.
The ministry’s spokesman, Khaled Mujahid, stated, in a new daily statistic, that the number of registered infections with the new Corona virus “COVID-19” in the country during the past 24 hours has increased by 1359, to reach 133900 cases.
The latest data indicates a continuous increase in the daily infection rate with the Coronavirus in Egypt after it was recorded on December 24, 1021, on December 25, 1133, on September 26, 1189, and on December 27, 1226, after this rate had previously decreased to less than 200.
Mujahid stated that, during the past day, the Ministry of Health monitored 61 new deaths due to the virus, bringing the death toll from the pandemic in the country to the level of 7,466 people.
This comes after Egypt recorded 51 cases in the data on December 24, on December 25, 49, on December 26, 43, and on December 27, 53.
Mujahid also reported that 429 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery, bringing the number of people recovering from the Corona virus in the country to 110,436 people.
Egypt has been witnessing for weeks a rise in indicators of the spread of the Corona virus, while the country prepares to launch a general vaccination campaign to combat the disease.
