He also ordered that the testimony of officials of the Egyptian Railways Authority be heard, the speed of keeping the memory cards of the main control unit of the two trains, the control devices of the control tower, the data storage units for the cameras in it and the railway slides, in addition to the cameras that may be found in the residences and facilities overlooking the site of the accident for examination.
The Attorney General also decided to assign a five-year committee of engineers specialized in the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces and the Advisory Office at the Military Technical College, and one of the members of the Administrative Control Authority legally competent to move to the scene of the accident to examine the two trains and indicate their validity and the validity of the operation and safety devices in them, and to inspect the location of the accident with a statement of the reasons and how it occurred The accident and the offender In it, explaining the extent of the commitment of those responsible for the two trains to follow the instructions and regulations governing the operation, identifying aspects of the violations that may be attributed to them and establishing their responsibility for them.
He also called for examining the validity of the two trains, the operating and safety devices in them, especially the stopping devices, “automatic brakes and control” and the “DEAD MAN DEVICE” system, and their conformity with the specifications and standards set for their operation, and determining the authority to supervise the operating systems and maintenance of the railways at the location of the accident and to ensure their suitability for the running of trains on them. In addition to ensuring the validity of the devices responsible for the trains’ path, and all the devices that control their movement, to indicate the extent of the commitment of those in charge of them to follow the instructions and regulations governing the operation, and to indicate the consequences of the accident in terms of disrupting the means of transportation, and to determine the size and amount of damage and the resulting damage and its value.
