Sheikh Al-Shahat Ibrahim Qazmal, the oldest Quran holder in the Menoufia Governorate, Egypt, died at dawn on Friday, as a result of his infection with the new Corona virus.
Ibrahim, the son of the deceased Sheikh, said that his father gave 60 years of his life to the memorization of children and students of knowledge of the Holy Qur’an, explaining that his father was kind-hearted and loved among the students and the people of the village.
He pointed out that his father had been ill with the liver for several years, and added: “3 days ago, he became very tired, so we transferred him to the hospital, then it was found that he was infected with the new Corona virus, which caused his death, may God have mercy on him.”
Hundreds of residents of the village of Kamshish took the body of Sheikh Qazmel to his final resting place, in a state of great sadness.
