The Egyptian Public Prosecution ordered the detention of two persons for four days pending investigation, a third hung on a wall for mockery and bullying.
The Monitoring and Analysis Unit in the Statement Department at the Attorney General’s Office monitored the circulation of pictures on social media of a person hanging on a wall for mockery and bullying, and by presenting the matter to the Attorney General, an order to investigate the incident.
By asking the victim’s father, it became clear that the defendants stopped him and took him to a property under construction to make fun of him by hanging him from his clothes on a nail on the wall and photographing him in that case, and violating him by beating him and publishing his pictures with the intention of ridicule.
When the Public Prosecution questioned the two defendants, they acknowledged that they had done it with the intention of joking, and that one of them published photos circulating on social media for this purpose.
