The Egyptian fans chanted for minutes during the match in support of Palestine and Al-Aqsa. The fans also refused to broadcast the songs on the stadium radio, and demanded that the volume be lowered in honor of the martyrs of Gaza.
Last Friday, Al-Ahly fans stood in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza and raised a banner reading, “From the river to the sea… Palestine will become free” in the stands of Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
