The Egyptian Assistant Minister of Tourism, Abdel-Fattah Al-Assi, confirmed that the ministry applies preventive measures against the Corona virus in hotels, and that it issued recommendations to tourist facilities to prevent gatherings on the New Year.
“We are not going to disturb someone’s mood, but the whole world is implementing measures to prevent the spread of Corona by preventing gathering or closing hotels and others,” he said during a telephone interview on the DMC evening.
He continued, “The ministry has issued recommendations to tourist facilities to prevent gatherings on New Year’s Day, and its teams follow up the implementation of measures in those places.”
The Ministry renewed its warnings, threatening violators with severe penalties, and affirming the need to adhere to the deadlines set for the opening and closing of tourist restaurants and cafeterias, according to the dates set by the Council of Ministers.
She emphasized the continuation of closing nightclubs and dance halls until a decision is issued by the ministry, in light of the measures that the state will take to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
And she stressed that the ban on holding weddings, parties, events or gatherings in closed places and halls will continue, until a decision is made to reopen.
