The Confederation of African Football (CAF) threatened, today, Saturday, the Moroccan club Wydad, to lose their meeting with Kaizer Chiefs, with a pen if the stadium for its match against the South African team was not determined.
In a warning message, CAF called the Moroccan Football Federation to find a stadium to host the Wydad and Caser Chiefs meeting before midnight tomorrow, Sunday.
Al-Kef stated that if the Moroccan club was unable to find a stadium that would host the confrontation, the proposal to defeat it with two goals would be discussed without a response.
The match between Wydad and Keyser Chiefs was scheduled to take place, last Saturday, at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, for the first round of the group stage of the African Champions League, but the Moroccan authorities refused to authorize it and did not receive the delegation of the South African team due to the repercussions of the crisis of the new strain of Corona virus .
The African Union decided to reprogram the aforementioned match between the two teams between 16 and 20 February in a neutral country, and the Peace Stadium in the Egyptian capital Cairo was chosen to host it on Friday, before it was postponed again to the 28th of this month, after the South African team refused The proposed date.
Wydad competes with Kaizer Chiefs in Group C, alongside Huria of Guinea and Petro Atlético of Angola.
