The Spanish Police arrested Hugo Armando Carvajal, known as The chicken Carvajal, a former Venezuelan Chavista general who has been unaccounted for since November 2019 and who was claimed by the United States to be tried for drug trafficking, money laundering and collaboration with the FARC.
Police sources have informed the Efe agency that Carvajal’s arrest took place around 9:15 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) on Torrelaguna street in the capital by agents of group two of Fugitives of the National Police in collaboration with agents of the American DEA.
Hugo Carvajal was in a home protected by several people. In that house, according to sources, he was a refugee without ever going outside. He was arrested in April 2019 also in Madrid after entering Spain with a false passport, but in September of that year the National Court denied his extradition on understanding that the United States was claiming him for “a political motivation”, for which he was released .
