Eleven people, including two newlyweds, were killed in a terrible traffic accident on Al-Kuraimat Road in Minya Governorate, northern Egypt.
Egyptian media quoted security and judicial sources as saying that the car of a private property carrying the newlyweds, Alaa and Shorouk, whose wedding was scheduled to take place on Sunday, collided with another microbus, whose driving wheel was broken in the hands of its driver, on Al-Kuraimat Road.
The sources pointed out that the accident claimed the lives of the newlyweds and 9 of the microbus passengers, while 3 people, including two children, miraculously survived.
The sources added that the security services received a notification from passers-by stating that there had been a collision between two cars, so the emergency police moved to the scene of the accident, called emergency units, and took the dead and injured to hospital.
