Referring to “destabilization efforts” on the continent, Macron said that Europe wants to find a political response to the conflict in Ukraine, at times when France assumed the rotating presidency of the European Union.
“The security of our continent is indivisible,” Macron said of Russia, adding that Europe must define its own security standards.
He argued that Europe must “place itself in a position that guarantees its respect,” without giving further details.
Previously, US Secretary of State Antony Blink, who came to Kiev for talks with officials from Ukraine, warned that Russia could launch a new attack in a very short time.
