Seventeen-year-old Jude Bellingham became the third-youngest player to play for England as they beat the Republic of Ireland for the first time in 35 years at Wembley.
Captain Harry Maguire, Bellingham’s Borussia Dortmund team-mate Jadon Sancho and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in a routine friendly win.
Bellingham came on in the second half and is only behind Theo Walcott and Wayne Rooney on the all-time list.
The visitors barely threatened.
Maguire opened the scoring with an early thumping header and Sancho snaked in a fine low shot following a pass from the superb Jack Grealish.
Everton striker Calvert-Lewin confidently smashed in a penalty on a night dominated by England.
More to follow.
