Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique said on Saturday that he would like to have three strikers of the caliber of Kylian Mbappe in his team, after he scored 14 goals in 12 matches in the French Football League this season.
Mbappe, who also scored 3 goals in the Champions League, is far ahead of Achraf Hakimi and Randall Kolo Mwani, his closest competitor on the team’s top scorers list, with 4 goals each in all competitions.
The situation was completely different last season when Lionel Messi scored 21 goals and Neymar scored 18 goals, but they left Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer period.
Luis Enrique said: “I would like to have three strikers like Mbappe who each score 17 goals, but that is not possible.
He added, “Last year there were three international stars and they shared more goals. There are many players who scored. We are not relying only on Kylian… others scored.”
The coach was asked about his team's failure to take advantage of many of the opportunities it created against Newcastle United last Tuesday, settling for a 1-1 draw.

Enrique replied, “This is very funny. If we have a problem finishing chances, what about others?”
He added, “A team that scores 3 goals in one match creates 10 clear chances against Newcastle… Football is a game. Sometimes it succeeds and sometimes it doesn't. We will have a problem if we do not create chances to score.”
Saint-Germain scored 8 goals in the last two league matches, but only two goals in the last two Champions League matches.
Enrique's response was brief when asked if the team's attackers had a problem concentrating.
“You can say what you want,” the former Spain coach said.
